Kate TriggsExecutive ProducerKate was born in London, grew up in Bristol, and studied Drama at Bristol University. After university she worked in theatre administration before moving to London and starting work at the European Script Fund, where she got to know film and television writers, producers and directors from all over Europe. In 1994 Kate moved to the drama department of BBC Northern Ireland, first as a script editor, then as Head of Development and finally an Executive Producer. There she worked with Adrian Hodges on the BBC2 adaption of John McGahern’s novel Amongst Women, Donna Franceschild on the BBC2 adaption of Robert McLiam Wilson’s Eureka Street, Ali White on the BBC1 series Any Time Now, Lizzie Mickery on the BBC1 film Sinners and three series of the BBC1 detective franchise Messiah. Since setting up Great Meadow Productions in 2004, Kate’s most recent work includes executive producer of BRADFORD RIOTS, a film she initiated with writer and director Neil Biswas, three new MESSIAH series, the BBC4 film THE LONG WALK TO FINCHLEY by Tony Saint, the BBC2 films MARGARET by Rick Cottan and WHEN HARVEY MET BOB by Joe Dunlop and the BBC4 adaptation of John Braine's novel ROOM AT THE TOP by Amanda Coe. Kate is the producer of WODEHOUSE IN EXILE by Nigel Williams, directed by Tim Fywell. |
Robert CooperRobert began his career in radio in Liverpool where he produced Alan Bleasdale’s SCULLY series for Radio City. In his mid-20s he began directing radio drama for the BBC Networks from Manchester and Belfast including work by Stewart Parker, William Trevor, Neil Jordan, Graham Reid, Anthony Minghella and Jimmy McGovern. In 1988 he moved to tv and produced tv drama and films by Anthony Minghella, Michael Winterbottom, William Trevor, Frank McGuinness, Danny Boyle, Graham Reid, John McGahern, Ronan Bennett, Gary Mitchell, Pearse Elliot, Terry Cafolla, Barry Devlin, Robert McLiam Wilson, Donna Franceschild, Lizzie Mickery and Colin Bateman. He initiated the MESSIAH series for BBC1 and was executive producer of BALLYKISSANGEL, MURPHY’S LAW, EUREKA STREET, A RAP AT THE DOOR, AS THE BEAST SLEEPS, HOLY CROSS and Jimmy McGovern’s GUNPOWDER TREASON AND PLOT. In 2004, Robert helped Kate Triggs set up Great Meadow Productions, since when he has been executive producer of three new MESSIAH series, the BBC4 film THE LONG WALK TO FINCHLEY by Tony Saint, the BBC2 films MARGARET by Rick Cottan and WHEN HARVEY MET BOB by Joe Dunlop, the BBC4 adaptation of John Braine's novel ROOM AT THE TOP by Amanda Coe and WODEHOUSE IN EXILE by Nigel Williams. |
